Coaches and Volunteers
Coaches who run our sessions must hold relevant NGB qualifications, and have current DBS (CRB) disclosure checks. All coaches are approved by Hampshire County Council or a regulatory body.
Coaches are given a list of club members who regularly attend sessions for planning purposes, including details of the nature of their disability, any medication, and emergency contacts or instructions.
If you are interested in working with our club, please let us know.
We pay competitive coaching fees, depending on qualifications and experience.
Friday evenings - football at Crestwood College, Eastleigh, 6 - 7pm
Sunday mornings at Thornden School, Chandlers Ford, 2 groups: 10 - 11am and 11 - 12noon
Volunteers help the coaches and the club members, and come from various sources, including Eastleigh Volunteer Bureau, citizenship or junior sports leaders courses, Duke of Edinburgh award participants, parents or carers. You don't need to have any particular sports ability (although it does help!) just enthusiasm and a willingness to help out and join in the sessions. We will take volunteers ages 14+.
We pay 25p per mile for travelling expenses or reimburse bus fares.
We are very grateful to our volunteers for the time they give up in supporting us, we could not run the club without them.
Volunteers over the age of 16 will need a recent DBS certificate, but we can arrange one at no cost to you.
If you are interested in helping us out, as a qualified coach, or as a volunteer, please contact:
Tel 07814 135565
Please provide details of coaching qualifications, experience (including working with people with learning disabilities) and any special skills that may be relevant.
If you are not recommended through Hampshire County Council or a recognised regulatory body, we will need to see evidence of qualifications, DBS disclosure, and will require contact details for two referees.
More information about the club can be found on the About Us page
