Brockenhurst Games 2023
On Saturday 7th October we attended the Brockenhurst Games. Our members had lots of fun doing all the activities and they ended up coming first place at the event. Congrats to Luke, Craig, Adam, Billy, Aiden and Mollie for doing so well! Thanks to Brockenhurst Mencap Gateway Club for inviting us once again.
Fund Raising success
Brilliant effort from Billy Lethbridge, who presented a cheque for £571 to the club on 4th September for funds raised during a mammoth 3 hours of dancing. We have already bought some props for our Monday dance group. Thank you Billy and also to Chloe, Phil, Aiden, James and Kate for joining in and supporting the dance-athon
Matthew Jones raised an amazing £548 for us running in the Great Bristol run. Thanks very much - the Thursday group is very grateful, and will be using some of the money to buy lacrosse kit so we can try out a new sport.
Phil's Fund Raising
Many thanks to Phil for fund raising a massive £396 for the club. He did this by getting sponsorships for running in the Southampton Marathon. We are very grateful, and already have purchased a new set of footballs for our Friday night football group with some of this money. The remainder will go to support funding our sessions so we can keep our fees as low as possible.
